The Blue Sharks

*Edition of 400* "Itinerario Beat" by Rigol / The Blue Sharks is an exclusive from Redi Edizioni Musicali, a historic Milanese company that, in addition to curating the digital catalogue of library music and sound recordings of Edizioni Leonardi, is now reissuing faithful vinyl reproductions of the most important titles in the Leonardi catalogue. Originally published in very limited editions, often as promotional samples not intended for sale, many of these LPs are now almost unobtainable collector's rarities!

"Itinerario Beat" is a title as intriguing as it is mysterious: played by a group of unknown musicians called The Blue Sharks, already at work on the excellent "It Became Crystal" (reissued by Redi Edizioni in 2021, Cat. No. REDILP001), it consists of ten easy-listening instrumental compositions for bass, drums, piano and hammond, arranged and played with a unique taste, between beat, jazz-funk and symphonic pop. Officially, the music is the work of Rigol, pseudonym of composer Duilio Radici, but uncredited is also Ugo Fusco, author of several soundtrack LPs published by Edizioni Leonardi.

In addition to being used in television, library music tracks are sought after by famous musicians and DJs and the subject of sound sampling: this is the case of 'Romantic Itinerary', included in this LP, which was sampled by rapper Travis Scott in the 2016 track '90210'!
