Erobique, Jacques Palminger
Songs For Joy Auf Der Veddel
Ahhh, songs of joy, at last! The joint project of Jacques Palminger (61, musician, member of the artist collective Studio Braun) and Erobique (51, composer, disco man) is entering a new round, that special asset of music that we need to enhance our ability to feel! In 2006, this collaboration resulted in nothing less than one of the best albums in recent German music history, the breathtaking “Wann strahlst du? Songs For Joy Auf der Veedel also includes a variety of pop music: chanson, new wave, pop-jazz, lullaby.
Why work against each other when you can work together?
The concept of the album is special. It emerged from a genuine participatory project. At the beginning of 2024, the two Hamburg artists produced music in a freely accessible studio in the Immanuelkirche on the Veddel – from texts sent to them after a call, with musicians from many parts of Hamburg and the world. Producer Peta Devlin, guitarist and composer Christoph Dietermann and drummer Mario Hänni supported the duo.
