Zeitgeist
Summer's Day
Progressive rock band Zeitgeist appear on the legendary 1971 private press album K.C.S. Modern Music, and here we bring you the band’s incredible recordings taken from a sole acetate they produced in January 1972. Strongly reminiscent of Soft Machine and King Crimson, the six-piece band feature electric guitar, saxophone and lashings of glorious flute to deliver a unique take on the Canterbury style. With jagged Fripp-style guitars, drifting Floyd-like vocals and lengthy jazz-inspired instrumental labyrinths of sound, these blacklight gems will be sure to cast your mind back to the days of scrutinising Roger Dean phantasmagorias during undergraduate bong sessions. Beware, listeners may well come to on the other side wearing an unexpected cape.
