NGC-4594
What NGC-4594 Really Means!
Guerssen (GUESS272)
Release date: Jan 1, 2025, Spain
Named after the galactic location of the nearest black hole to Earth, NGC-4594 only issued one single during their brief existence in 1967.
But such was the majestic allure of “Going home / Skipping through the night” that a myth grew around NGC-4594, with rumours of a “great lost album” spoken about in hushed tones by connoisseurs of psychedelic music. Now that album – locked in the vaults for four decades – is finally available, along with the true story of this strangest of psychedelic bands from Storrs, Connecticut.
Deluxe release in high quality carton cover, 180g vinyl, an insert with photos and extensive linernotes. Comes with a bonus 7” featuring both tracks from the original ’67 single release.
Tracklist: Colors – Take off your feet – Imagination dead imagine – Bloomin’ – Out to play – Forever gone – Negative zone – Sea ballad – It’s called love – Where are you coming from? – Nova express – So bright – Going home (7”) – Skipping through the night (7”)
