Featuring the pure vocals of the 17-year-old daughter of Woody Guthrie, “Emily’s Illness” was written by Eric Eisner (The Strangers) and impeccably arranged by Artie Schroeck. A romantic collaboration of psychedelia, pop, and acid-folk, but informed by the harmonic and rhythmic developments of João Gilberto and jazz.
