RICHIE HAVENS – ALARM CLOCK
Alarm Clock, originally released in 1970, is one of Richie Havens’ most iconic albums and has been unavailable on vinyl for decades. Recorded amidst the Vietnam War and the tragic Kent State shootings, this album was Havens’ urgent wake-up call to a generation—a powerful protest against government overreach. Now reissued on deluxe 180-gram Galaxy Effect colored vinyl, this edition includes two previously unreleased tracks: “Nobody Knows” and a moving rendition of Graham Nash’s “Military Madness.”
With a mix of covers and originals, Alarm Clock showcases Havens’ soulful voice, rhythmic guitar, and unwavering commitment to social justice, making it a timeless masterpiece.
